Olerai Conservancy
As the only permanent camp in the Olerai Conservancy, Lerai Safari Camp offers one of the most exclusive experiences in East Africa. However, you also don’t need to travel far to reach other most-visited safari destinations on the continent. Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Park and Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park are both within easy reach of the camp. The difference, however, is that you get to head back to your tranquil home in the bush, far removed from the crowds.
Because of its exclusive destination, you can partake in activities such as night game drives and guided nature walks, which are not always possible in other parks.
Olerai Wildlife
The wildlife-rich savannah plains of the Olerai Conservancy where Lerai Safari Camp is located has the largest concentration of giraffe and eland in the local ecosystem. It’s a haven for the East African bush to flourish freely and a paradise grazing and hunting grounds for wildlife big and small.
Getting to Lerai Safari Camp
Lerai Safari Camp is a six-hour drive from Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi. There are also two scheduled flights that take about 45 minutes. Lerai, bordering the Naboisho Conservancy, situated in the middle of an unscathed and virgin bush, is the only camp in the 5,000 acre private conservancy.
